The Oregon Health Plan (OHP)is Oregon's Medicaid program. There are several health care programs available for low-income Oregonians through OHP.
- OHP Plusfor children ages 0-18 and adults ages 19-64

Often, you can qualify for OHP and keep your private health insurance. If this happens, health care providers need to bill your insurance first. OHP then pays copays, deductibles and services your insurance does not cover.

Medicaid benefits do not travel from state to state.This means:

To complete an application, you will need information about you and the members of your household who want benefits, such as:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Social Security Numbers for everyone who hasan SSN
- Contact Information, including a valid mailing address
- Proof of naturalization orimmigration status
- Income, expenses, and tax deductions for everyone on your federal income tax return
- Any other health coverage, such as Medicare or private health insurance
If you appliedwithODHS, your worker will let you know. It may be up to45 calendar days after theygetyourcompleted application. If ODHS has to make an eligibility decision based on a disability, it may take longer.
If you do not receive anything after 45 days, you can ask about the status of your application. To do this, contact the office where you applied.
